OK, I'm a New Guy Now!

Accurate toy guns are pretty much a thing of the past now but there was nothing I wanted more when I was 7 than one of those M-16 replicas that made a firing sound (kind of clacker on the inside) . It must have been the popularity of SWAT that influenced my decision. I had to settel for a revolver that fired Caps, which really wasn't that bad. The type of caps I used are banned now too....

I had a sweet M-16 when I was 8 or 9. It took 2 D batteries and made a wonderful noise. I carried it with me on Halloween when I went dressed as a Stormtrooper. Don't think it was this one but was very realistic looking.

Can you imagine carrying a realistic looking toy gun around on Halloween now?? Haha

I had one that looks like that Trail Rider. It would shoot air. We use to stick it in the ground and shoot dirt clods. What fun. I still have it.

We had M-16, AK-47s and Uzis. This was shortly before the orange paint was added, and most were banned all together.

I had a sweet M16. I took it everywhere, I also had the stormtroopers blaster.

I can still remember my neighbour Danny's machine gun noise, he would nasally yell "ahahahahahahahaah" which totally didn't jive with my "ptuptuptu".

I long for the days when this was the only conflict in my life.

Same here Scott! My friend and I would fire dirt clods at each other all day long! Funny how after a while there would be dirt and grass hanging out of the barrel. I wish I still had mine.

This would definitely be something fun to have in the backyard. I can see countless hours of play here (mostly me hogging the gun). Do they still sell such things?

It was great fun. My brother and I both had one so there was dirt flying everywhere. Usually by the end of the day it needed a good bath, especially after being dipped in mud. I'm not even sure what the official name of it is or who made it.

This reminds me, I had some kind of bazooka. It was black with a big red lever you pumped up, I can't remember what it shot though??? Anyone else have one of these?
