Ah yes, Saturday night watching Love Boat and Fantasy Island while curled up on the couch eating a big bag of potato chips. I did that more times than I care to mention.

I'm surprised it took this long for Love Boat to come out on DVD. I was assuming there was some sort of rights issue that had to be straightened out or something. I don't know how the show would hold up for me today, I haven't watched it since I was a kid.

Love Boat was one of those shows I remember watching, but I don't really know why. I don't think any of us watched it that closely, it was just on. I remember liking it okay.

I think shows like that are long gone. Programs now are either geared directly at kids, or they are WAY too adult for little kids, even at 8 PM on the major networks. The days of the true family show are dead and gone, I'm afraid.
