I had a couple of Dapol figures in the nineties, but their quality relative to the price it cost to acquire them turned me off of them and I spent my student loan money on Aliens and MacFarlane toys instead.
I went to a toy sale today in what looked like a small industrial office space crammed to the rafters with misc toys from mostly the nineties. I could barely walk around in there and nothing was really priced.
I spotted the boxed Tardis, but didn't inquire about it.Comment

dredging up this thread from my past.
I have yet to take the Dapol dip, but am curious about cardbacks. I know there was a ten plus year history of this toymaker with these figures, a fire, and a large space of time between the first two waves and the last offerings.
Can anyone tell me which are the earlier cardbacks? Black cards with photos? rainbow cards? blue cards? ThanksComment

I brought mine back in 87/88 and they were all on black cards i think the blue was next poping up in the early 90s but i would take it as gosspil as my memory is a little fuzzyComment

When my High School English Class went to London over the summer on 1989 I got all the Clive Barker paperbacks with his artwork and the Dapol sets.
EVERYONE in the tour group hated me for going through customs and getting on the plane with teh full sized anniversary set with console etc. I also had three or four Tetraps and a bunch of Daleks.
I would have loved a Tom Baker and he doesnt look so bad everything considered. Maybe a ribbon for the scarf would have been nice.Comment

I got the 25th anniversary set, daleks, Tom and Jon figures, Ice warrior and timelord ones..there is a small shop in Bromley (outside south London) that has quite a few dapols carded and loose. I've ummmed and ahhhhed many times in there but am concentrating on the character options/underground toys figures now.ENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF ITBritish by birth....English by the grace of God.
