Toy-Ventures: Amazing Star Wars Toy Show

Toy-Ventures visits the second annual “May the North be With You” vintage toy show. My prequel-loving son accompanies me as we take in some breathtakingly rare Star Wars toys and other goodies. Who got the better haul? You decide. Hey next week I’m going to be at Power-Con in the Mego Meet […]

    Looks like a cool show.
I sold off all my SW merch 20 years ago, but I would love to go to a show like this, just to see the stuff in person again.

I was on a vintage Star Wars kick I got every loose figure I wanted except the Blue Snaggletooth and farmboy Luke, that stuff is getting so expensive. But if I see something I like at a show I haven't ruled out adding new items. There's just too many cool pieces out there.

I think you made the right call Brian not being a major Star Wars collector and focusing on smaller lines and niche properties, there are plenty of Star Wars archivalist but few Logan's Run or Space 1999 experts and researchers.

I don't know if it's a call so much as what the heart wants. However, it is an intimidating pool.

That's so true. I sold my SW stuff in the early '90s (for too little, too early) and have never given it a second thought.

But selling my vintage MOTU around the same time haunted me for decades. So when MOTU Origins showed up, I was all-in, it's a perfect substitute for me.

And Mego, for me it's always been in a class by itself.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.
