Something a little different - MPC Fonz motorcycle model

Hi Everyone. It's been a while since I posted. How many of you grew up watching Happy Days? Well, here is a throw back to 1976. It's the MPC model of Fonzie's Triumph TR5 motorcycle. You are not going to see another one like this anywhere. I have taken great lengths to custom build all the missing parts and super detail it. Even replaced all the spokes with thinner stainless steel wire.

They used several bikes on the show, but I've built the version that I remember...and was likely used the most.

Wow that turned out great. Looks better than the one that came with Mego Fonz.

I still have my Mego Fonzie. He will be displayed with the model despite being too large of scale for it.

This is gorgeous, I could never paint vehicles. I love what you did here.

Thanks everyone. I purchased the kit on eBay already built. Out of the box, it’s a simplistic model. I never intended to go this far with the restoration. There are probably more handmade parts on it than came with the kit. The handlebars and everything on them. The headlight bezel, lens, and internals. The front brakes. The magneto, spark plugs, oil & fuel lines, fuel shutoff valve, gas cap. Almost all the foot pedals and foot rests (the passenger rests are hinged). The seat springs, mounting points, and the pleather for the seats. The triangular shaped tool box. The license frame, license, and tail light. The most time consuming part was the wheels. Cutting out and sanding the hubs before drilling 0.5mm holes for the 0.3mm spokes. Bending each spoke end to hook on to the hub. Also made valve stems for the wheels. Went this far. Why stop. Last remaining item to do is a kickstand.
