Anybody else here ever had a Talking View-Master ?

For Christmas (back in the day) I got a cylinder containing a Talking View-Master...

Included were discs of undersea wonders ... They were GREAT!!!

Was a great concept on paper -- but rewatchability was kinda blahh

Only ever had a standard View-Master.
But I remember seeing the talking ones in the catalogues and leaflets, and thinking they looked really cool.

Along with regular View masters, I had the "Theater in the Round" which was a projector View Master. Kind of cool actually.

I really have a fondness for View Master stuff...

No talking VM but I truly craved the lighted VM.

I never had a talking view-master, and I didn't know anybody else who had one. I always wondered how they worked.

I cherished my regular view master when I was a kid, and I still have my childhood reels. My favorite reels were Land of the Lost, Isis, and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. I would look at them years after those shows were cancelled and no longer running on TV because it was the only way to relive those shows (unless you had the foresight to record the audio on a tape recorder). By the time, VCRS became affordable, those shows were rarely syndicated due to the low number of episodes.
