    space-age monorails/track sets/etc.?

I've been wracking my brain for a few hours now, trying to remember who made a certain toy, what it was called, or anything else about it -- all to no avail.

Here's what I do know: it was made in the '70s, it was "futuristic"/"space-age" looking, it had interlocking plastic tracks that were not only straight but up and down, making it a sort of 3-D train set, with a touch of rollercoaster. It had streamlined white vehicles that grasped the back side of the track with gears, allowing it to slowly, noisily climb. It was both rad and *****in' (those were the '70s). I think it was made by one of the major Japanese manufacturers.

If anyone can remember what this is, I'd love to know. And beyond that, can any of you help me add to my "database" of space-age toy track/guideway sets (NOT slot cars, Hot Wheels/Sizzlers, railroad trains, etc.) of the '50s through '70s? Here's what I've got so far:

    the aforementioned mystery toy
    Mego Micronauts Microrail
    Mego Rocket Railway
    Mego Micronauts Rocket Tubes
    Schuco Disneyland-Alweg monorail
    Kenner Sky-Rail

    Thanks!

    Wild guess ?

I know you said no Sizzlers, does that include the Hotline Train?

      THAT'S IT!

Thanks so much! I thought it had a funny name, but I could not remember what it was.

And somehow, despite having a full Sizzlers set up in the mid-'70s, I'd never even heard of the Hotline Train!

      Thanks again!

        Lucky guess.

I had the Hotline as a kid, I don't think it was real popular back then. This Tyco train I didn't have then (because it was 80's era), but have had them as an adult.

and I stumbled across this one.
