I now can't help but think of the the movie Coraline when I see these things. BRRRR...!!!

Their sculpts make me think of Changelings/Shape-shifters from Deep Space Nine

Yes the dolls are creepy, but I like the play concepts and some of the accessories are fantastic.

Yeah, the quality on these is actually quite nice. The head sculpts are just not up to par with Mattel's usual work. My best guess is they were trying to copy that weird 70s hippy art with the bug-eyed crying children. As bad as those are, it really doesn't translate to a 3D sculpt.

I was reminded of the Love Is newspaper cartoon series. At the time I thought it was a licensed tie in to the Sunshine tv show.
