    The Metal Men

The Metal Men were a cool series of 3 3/4" diecast action figures with no back story. Heavily influenced by the Japanese, many of the characters had THX 1138 look to them.

I used to get them at the local hobby shop and like Matchbox MAC used to have make up everything as I played with them. I often wondered who they were, turns out they were anything I wanted them to be.

I remember coming here with vague recollections of a gold die-cast robot toy. I think Brian clued me into the fact that it was probably a Metal Man, and now this cinches it. It was Questar, with the jet pack. He fought many a battle with my Pocket Super Heroes! He usually worked for Lex Luthor. Thanks for jogging the old memory B!

I had the astronaut figures. I think the other figures faces were heavily influenced by Battlestar Galactica.

          The Metal Men predate Galactica.

Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.

Like Chris, i had a vague memories of these cool little guys. I remember having a flying saucer and a v-shaped rocket that they fit into.
