I have a lot of fond memories of early Nerf. The packaging and colors they used bring me back to being 6 years old.

I remember having that Nerf airplane! I haven't thought about that for years. We had nerf balls and footballs galore around the house. I don't think I had a "real" football for years. It was always Nerf as a kid.

Later, I had the Nerf boomerang. Mine kept getting stuck on the roof so much, the last time my Dad refused to get the ladder out to get it. A year later it finally blew down, and grumbled into dust from being baked in the sun.

Funny how pretty much everything Nerf makes now is gun. Now, don't get me wrong, those are a lot of fun, and my kids have had their fair share of them. But, perhaps a statement on how our society has devolved? Probably.
