I would have loved Thundarr figures.

I'll probably get a lot of hate for this but I don't think Goonies figures would have sold well.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Yeah, I'd agree with you. It seemed to me that Goonies grew in appreciation thanks to home video.

I would have bought Gonnies, but I would have ran a grandma over to get to Monster Squad figures.

Great video, by the way! I really enjoyed that!

I'm kinda torn on the D&D cartoon.

I was big into the fantasy genre and D&D as a kid. I remember getting the D&D pink box for my birthday and playing it with my Mom and sister. So I was pretty psyched for the cartoon. I was expecting a sword and sorcery adventure series with Strongheart and Warduke having epic battles and instead got a show about a group of little kids trying to get home. I was like what the hell!? Now, I don't hate the cartoon or anything and I did watch it. It just wasn't what I expected and a still want a cartoon with the characters from the LJN AD&D toy line.

There are several, but as Mr. Miller has never been interested, the Mad Max Series certainly remains a top 10 over time. [Those N2-things don't count either.]

Many interesting characters, wild machines, playset possibilities, and playtime mayhem moving across the house, driveway or yard = would have been real fun/could still be fun!

for me, Blade Runner, Buckaroo Banzai and Krull are still figures I hope for.

I basically wanted it both ways with D&D. I was fine with the cartoon having the setup it did (although I loved the episodes that did bring in Strongheart, Kelek, & Warduke; did Elkhorn also appear?), and I also loved the toyline they made. I wanted them also so I could have them join in my fantasy adventures, but I was okay with the idea that the cartoon was sort of one "region" of the franchise and the toys were another. I just wanted them to intersect more. Then again, I was the kid imagining ways these characters could intersect with Dragon's Lair and Gummi Bears (my Saturday morning outlets for high fantasy).

Wanted: Legends of the West (Empire & Excel) and other western historically-based figures. Send me an offer.
Also interested in figures based on literary characters.
