Some vintage blow-mold and motionette footage from the House of Franklin-Stein!

Took some quick videos on my phone of our Halloween decorations this year. Thought some of you might dig it. Mostly vintage blow-molds, with a few new ones from Kroger last year.

And some small blow-molds and motionettes here. I just picked up the small ghost with jack-o-lantern and jack with hat blow-molds at a Goodwill this weekend for a buck a piece! They were still in the shrink-wrap!

Man, I love those things. I just can't find 'em locally.

The Telco Motionettes I have a real fondness for. The Universal Monsters ones were bought at Walmart back when I first had some disposable money in college. I never did get the Mummy, and he's incredibly rare and expensive.

        Very cool!
I love seeing the vintage blow molded pieces. Wish I had space to store them, I would snag some.
Especially like the smaller interior ones.

There is a house about 20 miles from me that has an entire yard full of blow molds.
My wife thought I was losing my mind when I stopped the car to check it all out.

There are more pics of it on this page of my site

As near as I can tell, looks like over 60 blow-molded pieces in that yard.

I still have to make a trip out there after dark to see it all lit up. (I assume he lights them, as I saw cords running to them)

Wow! You really have a great Halloween set up. Thank you for sharing.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

That’s so neat, Chris! The scene inside feels like that a straight out of a time machine. Vintage at its best. Love that!

I LOVE your blow molds, especially that they still light up. Only one of mine still has its light.

^I've had to replace a few. The smaller ones use the small "night light" or medium-sized Christmas tree bulbs, and you can easily find the light fixtures for those at Lowes. The larger ones are a bit harder, but I have bought lamp kits and modified them to work.

Do you think he parks the sheriff car in the driveway all year long, or just when his decorations are out?

                              :D
Well, I have been by there 3 times now, and the car has always been in the driveway (though in different positions), so, I don't know?
Probably all year, since the sheriff's department is in that area, and I am sure the deputies take the cars home with them so they can respond to calls.
