    Help w/ Toy Identification

    Think 70's....

My brother an I had this old west 'fort' toy. It was made of aluminum and folded up like a suitcase. When you opened it, you'd lay the suitcase flat and the inside looked like an old west fort. The sides of the suitcase were the fort walls and the whole set contained little plastic cowboys, indians and horses....all the size of platic army men.

I'd love to see a photo of this if someone has one.

That's along the right idea Dave but that's not it ...at least not based on those pictures. I remember the aluminum case (which acted as the walls of the fort when unfolded) had scenery of a fence made with branches painted on it.

Hmmm, that sounds a little like one I had.
        It was all embossed tin.
One thing I remember about mine ....
The fort's fence as well as the fort building was red.

I seem to remember the the embossed 'sticks' that made up the fence detail were drawn to look sharp at the top (like a spear). Although I remember brown as opposed to red.

^^ If you are super lucky, and had a later one, it came with a Custer figure. One of the most rare Marx 54mm figs.
