Gi-Joe Classic style looking convention sets

Has anyone here got the Gi-Joe Adventure Team Classic style looking convention sets?
I was thinking of getting the Polar Bear Attack and The Terror on the sea floor sets, but at $250 a up or so each that is a big chunk of change.

I have the Polar Bear Attack set and it is really nice. Actually, I really like the accessory figures to the sets but you have to purchase the set first.

$250 is a lot of cash for the sets for a reproduction but they are really well done.

keep in mind these are retro styled not true repros the body is closer to a classic collection body of the 90's with gung ho grip hands and a classic stylehead

I have the polar bear set and it looks nice but I haven't got the others since. The bear is nicely scaled though

Only bits and pieces are repros, they are pretty much new pieces.
The only reason they cost so much is they are only limited to 500 sets, so the cost is more because of the less volume of parts is made.

Those sets look great but, irregardless, it's still a new toy and not an actual antique from the golden era of GI Joe, so it should be priced accordingly. Those jacked out prices are the reason why I have never gotten involved with the Club. It's just entirely too much money for what your getting. I've lost a great deal of respect for Hasbro and these "clubs", because they consistantly pick collectors pockets just to dust off a few memories. In all honesty these things shouldn't cost $50.00 to buy. What the heck do you do with a brand new play set that costs over $200.00? NOTHING! It sits there on the shelf and you dust it for the next 40 years because you purchased it like it was an antique. Madness...

Well, that to me makes it even crappier. It should be on a repro 64 type body with Kung Fu grip.

Ditto:Overpriced new stuff. I once picked up a complete vintage Gijoe Marine
Jungle Fighter for less. I would rather buy an original Gijoe set MIP than a new repro for those prices.
