    Cheap 23rd Century Goodness

I got a lot of great feedback on the recent Azrak Hamway toy galleries
Including a ton of submissions from friends, so much so that I'll be spinning off some of the material into additional galleries. Today, I thought I'd focus on some of the AHI Star Trek stuff my pal Bill sent me.

These Phaser water guns just rocked, they were too small but so was your hand back in the day.

Mr Spock was a huge sky diver, you didn't know that?

As was Captain Kirk apparently, I don't think I've seen a Kirk Parachuter since I was a kid.

This saucer gun is another cool way to get a Phaser toy onto shelves, AHI really knew that kids loved Sci Fi hardware...

Soaring enterprise, I think the thing I love the most about these products is not one thing has the same package, you won't find that today.

I had the saucer/phaser gun as a kid.
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
      Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.
In the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.

I really like the packaging. And I think a sky diving Kirk and Spock is pretty funny. "Mr. Spock, we don't need the transporter. Man your parachute and we'll sky-dive to the planet surface."
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Wow, those are neat, and the packaging is all over the place and completely busy like all AHI stuff, but man it works. It makes you excited about the toy.

I never knew they made the Trek parachutists. I guess Kirk did sky-dive in that cut scene from Generations. AHI was ahead of their time!

I just noticed the kid on the soaring Enterprise package has a Trek uniform shirt on. AHI apparently knew they were selling to the hardcore convention geek crowd!

Well with all the transporter malfunctions and shuttlecraft accidents I guess it was the next best thing.

I never saw these. I loved both squirt guns and Star Trek and would have gone nuts for the phaser squirt gun.
