Nah,while the 12" was the original pioneer,it was nowhere near the awesomeness that was GI JOE: A Real American Hero in the 80's and no comparison. It deserved at the attention it got.

I watched the Star Wars one so far, it was really good. I'm looking forward to more shows. The Star Trek one should be lots of fun.

I wonder if someone will make one called The Games That Made Us. (even though there was a brief mention of games)

They could make several episodes on boardgames, card games, role-playing games and video games.

Saw Brian's name at the end of the Joe episode and said "cool, I know that dude"! Also happy to see Marty Abrams.

^ Seems like a sustainable formula if the series is to continue for more that 12 episodes.

I wonder if they will change the nature of the topic when they run out of toy lines. By this, I mean if they complete all the big name lines like TMNT and Cabbage Patch kids, will they then go on to general themes and categories like outdoor toys, video games, craft toys, etc?

Well I finished watching, I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would being that they were all lines I don't collect.

The Star Wars episode didn't add anything that wasn't it Plastic Galaxy, but the GI Joe and He-man documentaries were great.

Are they only releasing four at a time? Wish they'd do Fisher Price Adventure People or Big Jim.

Apparently Hello Kitty, Star Trek, Lego and Transformers are the next 4 episode.

^I saw that Saturday night and pointed to Cindy "Hey look...Brian!"

My only very minor gripe with the Joe episode was that they didn't mention Larry Hama grafting his declined Nick Fury spin-off proposal onto Joe. They don't really say it DIDN'T happen, but they just say Marvel came up with the concept of the G.I. Joe name as a unit.

Anyone know what the remaining 4 episodes are? I'm assuming Transformers is one.

So far each episode is very good. However I think they are not going about the release of the episodes in the right way. The series is called The Toys That Made Us. So why don't they go in an order that makes sense. Barbie should have been the first episode, Episode 2 GI Joe, Episode 3 Hot Wheels and Episode 4 MEGO. There has got to be an order here. Especially since the series is called The Toys That Made Us. Episodes 4-8 could have more 70's toys but I think what I spelled out is enough as far as toys that shaped us from back in the day. 5-8 should start with Star Wars as Episode 5, Episode 6 He-Man, Episode 7 GI Joe and Episode 8 The Transformers. I know that these are boy toys. So if they use this as a guide they could insert girl toy lines in the right places to really make a great series of toy story telling!!!!!!
