I won't lie to you, I would play with this thing right now were it in front of me. We truly lived in a golden age of generic space toys in the last 1970s.

My favorite part is the primary color striping. It's as of the era as the kids' haircut and bibbed overalls.

This is cool- a post-Star Wars toy, obviously, but using the old 1960s MPC playset figures and accessories. I really wish someone would reproduce those sets today.

That is amazing.

The Star Base Command Tower looks to be copied from the real secret space program, or fashioned after the ancient glass tower, on The Moon, that Richard C. Hoagland talks about.

There could be more truth than fiction in this playset.
