I for one LOVED the 12 inch Cylon. Still have my original to this day and keep him shined and in good working order. I know the show use to get ridiculed for being too much like Star Wars, but to me it was plenty different enough that it carried it's own charm the Star Wars franchise didn't have. For myself, Galactica was kind of like Bonanza in space. You had the wise father who overlooked this big family trying to stay one step ahead of the bad guys, while Apollo and Starbuck were like it's own version of Starksy & Hutch, palling around in space ships instead of cars.

The only 'charm' BSG had over SW was the Cylons. Everything else was pretty much turgid.

I liked 'em both! Battlestar was a favorite. I loved the merchandise! The figures had cloth capes, Daggit was cool in 1978, oh yeah and the space ships were fantastic!
