I even thought those "things" were weird when I was a kid. I never could understand why people had carpeting on their toilets and/or right below it.

Don't know why, always had one since growing up.

Well, I do too and it's b/c the floor is cold! I like the shag...but it's a good thing we didn't have these when I was a kid. My dad had no sense of aim!
