Another classic toy comeback, Teddy Ruxpin.

I'm guessing it probably won't use cassettes this time.

Comprehensive Toy Line Planned for Fall 2017; Episodic Content to Follow Bristol, PA, Feb. 1, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --Wicked Cool Toys has teamed up with Alchemy II, Inc.to relaunch the Teddy Ruxpin brand and franchise globally with toys, content and comprehensive licensed merchandising program. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I remember thinking how cool Teddy Ruxpin was as a toy, and lamenting I was WAY too old for him at the point he came out. I was 10. I did get to play with my little cousin's a bit. It was pretty cool. In later years I wanted to put a death metal tape in there and see what he did.

I'm hoping the new one will assist me in my search for the Blue Fairy.

I still have mine from the 80s. It still comes in handy w/ my class at story time.

I used a Talking Mickey Mouse for a speech class I had in college. It was made by the same people that made the Teddy Ruxpin. I recorded my own words for him to say, and I did get an A for the speech

The one I used was this exact one which was a store display.
