Oh my..... Long time looking for this vintage GiJoe! Boxed 1969 Aquanaut

I assumed I probably wouldn't end up with one of these. It's a very scarce box, from a single year 1969. I've had several Aquanauts, all loose, but even loose they don't show up very often.

I've seen a couple of boxed versions hit over $3K in the last 6 months, so I figured a reproduction box was going to be all I would ever have...

Well this arrived and I'm pretty happy! The figure is basically unused. I was told this was owned by the seller's uncle.

Thanks guys! It's sitting right over here across from me. The box isn't perfect, but very little is in my collection, so it fits right in!

When I have a chance I'll pull out all of my 1969 red top coffin boxes for a picture.

          That's nifty! Congrats.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

wow, that figure's a beauty. I personally love the Joes that look like they've seen some action, so the box is perfect to me.

Very nice! I'm more an AT era guy, but these were the precursors and i know several of sets were only done one year, so finding any of them in this nice a condition is a real coup. Congrats. :-)

That's an outstanding find. I love both the 60's and AT era Joes, and while I have some nice loose ones, nothings is boxed, and nothing is particularly rare. That's a cool piece to have.
