    Micronauts Week

In honour of this Friday's new podcast episode (which is about Micronauts in case you were wondering) I plan to theme this week around Mego's memorable toy line.

Above is a Christmas catalog spread from 1979, it's one of 3 pages that year. '79 was truly my big year with the line and one where all three of those glow in the dark aliens were under the tree and accidentally they taught me the truth behind Santa Claus. I'll save that story for the show.

Very Underrated Line IMO, I remember my Brother's having some of these. I have been thinking about collecting some Micronauts, what should Loose Figures run, I know Price is always subjective just looking for Price-points.

Is that page from the Canadian Wishbook? I had Hornetroid, the aliens, and Kario. Good times.

What?!? I guess it took the Micronauts to do what the Martians could not.

            Really cool toys.

Children's Palace was well stocked with these. Nice selection.

They should make a Micronauts movie!

Love the Micronauts. Creative, innovative, really great play value, and the figures were more possible than most 3 3/4" figures of the day ( Looking at you Kenner Star Wars and FP Adventure people). I had many Micros, Time travelers, Galactic Warriors, Space Gliders Acroyer, Acroyer II, Phariod, Antron for figures. Several vehicles, the Astro Station and Hornetroid. There was so much more i wanted though, truly a very expansive line, and to me, one of, if not THE, last great unlicensed toy lines.

I really enjoyed Micronauts as a kid and would like to have more than I have now, but those darn things are just too expensive. Why is that? They made a ton of them, there's a lot on ebay right now, but the loose figures are pricey..... boohoo...
