    Remco Earth Quake Tower

Earth Quake Tower has been mentioned before but it's a toy so of it's era and amazing I wanted to bringing it up again. An Irwin Allen movie for the toybox, there is no way in hell this would fly today and $17? What a bargain! For more Fashion Mockery and 70's toy love visit us at Plaid Stallions.com

Yeah, that would be considered distasteful nowadays. Comes with "disaster sound record" to boot!

This looks like a fun set to me. I don't know why this would be distasteful, and video games where you blow people up and shoot them, and run them over w/ cars is acceptable.

^I think it has to do with "toys" being for kids, and a good chunk of video games are made for teens/adults.

It's a rescue set so it should be acceptable.

A bridge disaster rescue playset and a capsized ship playset would be fun too!

              ^ I agree

There's a fine line between modern thinking distasteful and kid play value.

Animals play to get them ready for real life situations when they grow up --- It should be the same for human children.

Now if it was a bomb that brought down the building I would lean toward the distasteful side.

This came out during the heyday of Irwin Allen disaster movies. I remember being freaked out by scene in 'Earthquake' where a woman stood up into frame with glass in her head. Young me was scared!

I just think that people are sensitive about collapsing skyscrapers these days, for obvious reasons.

That said, I have no room at all for it but would love to have it set up in my toy room anyway. That and the King Kong Against the World game/playset.
