    Lego Police!

The Police Headquarters was not only my first Lego set but the toy designated to stay at my Grandmother's house for when i visited. I had a million fun hours with that thing and even though my kids look at the blank faced figures like they're caveman tools, so did they.

        I like that Moon lander!

For the modern police, Lego would sadly need to add armored vehicles, riot shields, paramilitary gear, the bomb squad and tear gas launchers. Maybe even a drone. Can't forget the surveillance van either.

I remember wanting that lunar lander back in the day. I am surprised that Lego doesn't make more simpler kits like these today, too. My son has gotten some sets for birthdays and such and after the first time through building it, he never goes back to the instructions. He just uses the various parts to make creations of his own. My daughter will save up and get a superhero set and then keeps it in her room like it was a model kit. Never takes it apart again. I personally like the more abstract Lego, but I do really enjoy their animated movies.
          It's all good!

I had a few of the smaller Lego police sets. I had a few Lego men that had the blank faces...and honestly they weirded me out too!

Most of my Lego toys were Police and Space. I always wanted the Knights, but they seemed to only have huge sets back then, and I always asked for other toys for Christmas, birthday, etc.

I had mostly the Castle sets but I did have that Moon Lander. Pretty sure I still have a Christmas picture of it.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Only Lego set I ever had was a small box set, police motorcycle with sidecar and 2 police figures. I got it somewhere around 1979 or 80.

I had some kind of generic blocks and would always build battleships.

It came with a ship prow and flat caps among other things.

There's a new book out about great LEGO sets. Saw it at Costco. It comes with a mini version of the LEGO space space cruiser. I had the coast guard station from the Legoland sets. I got that moon lander at a yard sale back in the day. But my favorite were the space sets. I still have a couple of those. My daughter and I build them along with her princess castles and modern Star Wars sets (mine). LEGO is timeless and the market for some sets is ridiculous. My friend sold a carosel set for 1200 without the box.
