    Mac 1977

I am in awe of this awesome ad for Matchbox MAC toys from 1977. These two inch tall heroes were sort of an "International Rescue" type organization and one of my fondest memories as a wee lad.

That is excellent. I had only one set. I don't remember seeing them long at retail, but I liked them a great deal.

It's a nice idea but I would have liked to see more true-life looking vehicles as a kid.

They look very cool. Kind of like a precursor to Adventure People.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Looks like Adventure People started in 75 and the MAC series started in 74 so pretty darn close! Please correct me if I'm wrong as I just did a quick search. Both were very cool lines but I had a couple of these guys given to me from a friend and I never remember seeing them in store.

I don't remember the toys, but I completely remember the announcer from that commercial.
