    Back To School Stuff

    What stuff got your back to school groove flowing? Supplies? Fashion? Lunchboxes?

    I always hated summer ending, but I really geeked out on buying school supplies-

    WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

      I've mentioned this before, but the local Begley's Drug (later Rite-Aid) had those Mead notebook paper packs with the Iron-On Transfers WAY up into the mid 80s. I'm not sure how many Spidey shirts I got out of those.

          Wow! Even though I really love school supplies, my mom never got me new ones when my old ones were still good, (i.e. binder, lunchbox, bookbag). However, I always got new pencils and pens (and mom would paint rings around 'em in nail polish so they wouldn't get stolen), a new box of Crayolas, and new clothes and shoes, (Buster Brown!). I would always make my own folders out of the ones w/ no pockets my mom brought home from her job or her college. I lovd making my own pictures for the cover and making pockets from another folder. But I really miss that tower of lunchboxes in the grocery store, dreaming about what kind I would get (if I could), and all the cool Buster Brown commercials for the latest cool shoes.

              With the way things are today, this stuff probably wouldn't be allowed in the schools anymore,
              remember the little girl's Wonde Woman lunchbox? to violent, how sad is that?
