Giant Sized Fisher Price Sesame Street Clubhouse

    \

In1977, Fisher Price promoted the Little People Sesame Street Clubhouse by creating a gigantice model of it.

The happy memories I had playing with this toy are only slightly shadowed by the original Sesame Street set by FP. I look at this thing and it cheers me up, always will.

I need to know if this still exists somewhere, come on interwebs do your magic, we tracked down Oscar Goldman's Briefcase in minutes, let's do this! Also, I'm less than two hours away, if this is in somebody's garage or attic, I would kill to come photograph it. Seriously, look at that giant Bert!

That should be reconstructed in the Strong Museum of Play, which has a Sesame Street exhibit.

I wonder if that glorious behemoth might be on display at CTW or Fisher Price HQ.

Looks like something that would be on the set of "The Toy" or "Silver Spoons"...when each kid was younger.

                That's pretty cool.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

It's mind-blowing to actually see the toys of your youth in a scale like that----a scale worthy to touch upon the size of the affect that those toys had on our imaginations (and lust) as children.

That said, being a Sesame Street fan, the character pieces stand out more than the generic playhouse.

And THAT said, Fisher Price's "Little People" style is so unique, even a generic playset of that size conjures a great deal of excitement despite not being a franchise licensed looking thing, nor a toy I had (or wanted) as a kid.

I had one of their airports as a kid----THAT playset rendered in a jumbo size akin to that Sesame Street one would be so, so awesome!
