In my occasional searches for '70s Marx material (a personal obsession of mine), I recently stumbled upon this absolute gem of a video, uploaded late last year by the ITV Wales archive, and seemingly flying way under the radar up to this point. It's an interview (first in English, then in glorious Welsh) with a Marx employee in a showroom at their Swansea headquarters, showcasing some of their 1979 holiday wares, and offering a few (quite haunting, in retrospect) words on the state of the company. But best of all, there are many fantastic shots of the toy lineup, especially during the intro and middle portions of the video. Check out all of the vintage "Playpeople" (Marx's UK name for Playmobil), Gabriel Lone Ranger and various other classic toys. And you really haven't lived until you've seen the Welsh version of Ron Burgundy jamming out on an electronic toy guitar...
