I was a major skater in the 80's. My favorite board I ever rode was the G&S, Neil Blender, Coffee Break.

in 1977, I think I had one like that V-2 Brian showed in the ad. I remember being embarrassed that mom insisted I wear a helmet. I was even more embarrassed when it was the same helmet that Adam Rich wore on some celebrity show.

I got out of boarding but got my first wide board in '81- a black Kryptonics deck that didn't split in half until '83. Then I went witrh my favorite - the Steve Steadham Powell Peralta deck-
      WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

Steve Caballero was selling with a friend of his. He has a decent mego collection. He had two vintage boards at the san jose toy show he was selling at cheap prices. Megoru was there and he introduced me to him. Really cool guy. Will probably be there at the next san jose show in a couple months. Hey fresno is only 15 minutes from me. Small world.

What skateboard did I ride? None. Now, what skateboard did I fall off of until my mom convinced me to sell it? That was just a really simple one, it had black gritty stuff over most of it and said "Nash" in blue letters. I didn't keep it for long.
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

Went through many K-Mart type boards but I finally talked my dad into buying me a great one through a mail order company out of Skateboader mag. I ordered a Sims Taperkick with Bennett Pro trucks and red Sims Pure Juice wheels. When it arrived it was all there except the company apologized for an extra 2 week delay and they replaced the red Sims Pure Juice wheels with the newest on the market, Sims Green Snakes wheels! I was in heaven! One of the best summers of my life!
