    Mattel Flash Gordon action figures

This is another toy line that I'm smitten with but just don't have the money, space or time for. I especially covet that whacky inflatable rocket ship. Someday I'll circle back to you someday my precious....

If you haven't checked out the cartoon series this is based on, do so immediately!!!!!

Love these guys. One day. They're on my list. I remember getting Flash and Lion Man in my Easter Basket. Only Lion Man remains. Did he eat Flash?

I agree, I loved this line. Those figures look great and the ships have fantastic play value.

I have the figures and the space shuttle which I acquired when they were new. Great figures. The cartoon was also great.

This has always been for me the toy line that got away, this and the Black Hole toys.

I remember the blimp being at the Sears Outlet store for years. I think they were down to $.99 for the longest time.

Absolutely love them. Always wanted them as a kid. Still intend to hunt down a full set one day.

The cartoon was great, but the first season.

Yeah, what was with that dragon sidekick?

I'd pay $$$ for a proper DVD release of the related animated film.

I have all of the figures and the shuttle, plus and extra Ming and Flash. I custom painted these. Flash is in the classic strip blue outfit and Ming is in movie colors with a red vinyl cape. I also found a playset on the Plaidstallions website. When you printed it out it took up about a quarter of a page. I enlarged it to 1/18 scale and colored it. Took 2 years. Makes a beautiful backdrop for the figures.

I discovered these figures a bit late, when they were on closeout at a Sears probably around 1981 or so. This particular Sears was one where they sold all of their marked down stuff and unsold catalog items, etc. I ended up getting the four pack with Flash, Lizard Woman, etc. I hadn't seen the cartoon, but I was a huge fan of the 1980 movie, so I was a little confused by these figures but I thought they were really cool nonetheless.
