Are these AHI Ape Boots?

As I am getting ready for Mego Meet I've been finding a lot of mego like atuff. Are these AHI Ape Boots:

I can't tell from your pics, but if they are stamped Hong Kong hear the upper edge of the boot, then yes.

They are stamped Hong Kong on the heel part of the boot on the opposite side of the side view shot of the boots. It's the brown ones that are harder to find right?

I double checked all 10 variants I have (including carded), all are stamped Hong Kong on the top of the boot, either on one line or stacked one word on top the other. Yes, the rusty-brown boots are the rarer variety.

I believe ones you have might be Big Jim or some other knock-off. I recall having some of those and the plastic was different (thinner/rubbery, etc.), with some stamped near the heel, and others with no stamp.

These are hard and not thin at all. I'll take a pic of where Hong Kong is on the boot.

These are thick hard plastic boots and heavy.

Based on what I own, I'd say they aren't Action Apeman boots. They also look a bit wider/larger in the pics.

Maybe they belonged to another AHI figure or a different toy line? Hopefully someone can ID them with 100% certainty.

I have 3 versions of the AHI Action Apeman, and the boots on all 3 confirm what Confessional mentioned; the Hong Kong is on the upper edge of the boot.
