Is there a way to fix Super Joe figures?

Super Joe's have to be one of the cheapest figures ever made. The figures literally disintegrate. I have a lot of parts, probably enough to make a couple of figures. Is there a way to repair these? Is anyone interested in parts? I'll probably be bringing these parts to Mego Meet...just figured I'd ask to see if there is a how to on fixing these figures. Thanks.

yes, they can be repaired. do a search for threads as we have had this come up quite a few times and there are different ways of doing it. the harder thing these days is finding hands that work. the Zica body hands for the Buck rogers line are a perfect fit and even come in "kung Fu" gripper style

I use a drill and pin method. I think Trappy does a conversion to a different body altogether. another member was doing it with wires or something being threaded through

I've heard these are hard to repair, it's always scared me away from buying broken ones to try and fix. I bought a professionally repaired Super Joe Commander on ebay several years back, and the seller told me that he basically cut all the limbs apart at the seams using an x-acto knife (to insert the repro joints, which were designed close to the original ones, but made out of better material of course) and then glue it all back together. But there are probably other ways to repair these that are less authentic but easier. It's really a shame about the degradation these figures suffered, because I love the line.

it's not hard once you do it once and see how it all works. tricky maybe, but not hard. the SJ line was and is great. very imaginative

I'd love to take a look at them... If it's similar to the repair of Bulletman I may be interested

Thanks....good eyes...that is your Luminous! I just recently replaced his hands with Glow in the Dark ones. You did an amazing job on rebuilding him, btw...

Me, too--those are beautiful, and I love how've you've added such appropriate customs.

I just have Gor & Terron--rebuilding a Bulletman was work enough for me.

Yeah, that's the great thing about Gor and Terron, they didn't fall apart like the others...

So does anybody have any instructions on trying to rebuild one then?
It was like that when I got here.
