This is the item that drew me into this line. Way overpriced toys... but SO desirable... with the release of this item, a lot will change, at the very least the more affordable price/secondary-market price of three very pricey secondary-market items... actually, it's already started affecting the secondary-market prices for those three in particular.

These pieces are just plain fun. It's a silly idea, but it appeals to the kid in us.
As a child, I would have gone crazy over all of these jumbo figures.

I sort of want all of these in this line, sadly no room for them and the price keeps me from doing impulse buys on them. Although I do have one....

Frankly, as a child, I would've thought ANYTHING "Star Wars" was cool---but, as an adult, the only thing appealing about these is the nostalgia of loving the regular size ones of these that I had and played with as a kid... otherwise, the price is OUTRAGEOUS... might as well buy the modern jumbo SW ones in TOYS R US if you're just into the "fun" "play" aspect of 'em---what are they---like, $15 or something

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE these figures---and, that's why I'll pay the price, but, even I, one of their biggest fans, has to say they are way overpriced, if it weren't for the nostalgia.

I'm going to assume that the packaging (not shown) will be similar to this? Have they announced/shown what the box will look like for these three?

I have to admit, I am a bit astonished that the line has reached Return of the Jedi, particularly EWOKS.

I was astonished as well. I thought the line would die out early at those prices. If the line would've died, I would've had a totally different outlook on picking these up.

But, in the same vein as my feelings about if ArtFX Aquaman isn't released, when I saw the big selection of GG SW characters, I was ready to buckle---and then when I saw that the GG SW 3-pack in this thread was announced, I had a breath of hope that I'd save a decent amount of bucks getting three figures that I'd put ALL of up at the top of my GG SW "want list". So, I got into the line.

An, yes, I think it'll look similar to that vintage packaging samurai---take a look at the droids 3-pack that they've already done---that will also clue you in on what this villains 3-pack of jumbos will likely look like.

They really screwed up on the proportions on the Wampa, which was seriously pricey. Scary getting into these, but Im seriously tempted by the new "droid" line.

I like the Wampa character enough---but NOT enough to buy GG's. And, frankly, proportions don't have all that much to do with it.

                    Here's some pontification on this:
Not that I'd buy it for sure, but I'd certainly buy an out-of-proportion jumbo Kenner Jabba at four-hundred bucks before I touched that Wampa for even $170.

I know it'll sound cliché, but I'll say it anyway: After all these years buying toys, I've learned that "what you like" is THE biggest factor in "wasting"/"investing" money in toys.

I just don't have ENOUGH love for the SW GG line, and, more vitally I think, I don't have enough of that love or nostalgia for the original Kenner Wampa

Big question at this point (AFAIC) is what they're going to charge!!!

Anybody got an R2-D2 or Tusken Raider? I need those two to complete my collection.

That thing is going to need its own parking space.
