    1979 Craftmaster Poster Art Catalog

Poster and marker sets were one of my favourite ways to spend an afternoon as a kid (cause that's about how long the markers would last). I also recently have become invested in tracking down all the ones I had as a kid.

Craftmaster had all the best licenses in the late 70s which included Star Wars and arch rival Battlestar Galactica, Super hunk John Travolta, Fantasy Island and Love Boat.

Check out the 1979 Craftmaster Catalog.

I'd also like to add if you have the Fantasy Island set for sale, CONTACT ME!!!!!

Man, the artwork on these things is gorgeous. Most of them are so heavy and blacks, a kid really couldn't mess them up...too much.

Cool. I recall having a few Marvel sets as a kid... sold in large tubes, with pens etc.

Can you imagine a child today with a cell phone, having the patience to color Mr. Roarke or Doc Bricker? That Tattoo's Jalopy should be made into a toy immediately! Vroooom!

I recall the markers often being dried out straight from the package. Always a good idea to have some good Crayola markers around to color these sets.

I have the Hardy Boys, Star Trek:TMP, and some newer Star Trek:TNG. I enjoy watching TV and coloring.

I mentioned that 3-D Darth Vader mask poster on a thread a few months back. It was cool to actually see it again. I couldn't remember what the rest of the poster looked like.

Loved these posters but I recall being disappointed that the markers rarely lasted long enough to complete the coloring process. For some reason my parents just seemed to flat out refuse to buy me Crayola markers, so this often wound up being a frustrating situation. That being said, I'd love to start collecting some of these again.
