    Sears Floor Model Computer

I finally tracked down a toy I've been after for ages. Made by Sears and sold in the fashion doll pages this toy hits on something I love, OLD TIMEY COMPUTERS.

I'd have to say that this was not meant as an accessory for Barbie but more for the Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman figures of the day.

You may notice a lever on the side, even though this thing takes no batteries, it does produce an effect that has to be seen to be believed, so i made a (1990s cable access show quality) video.

Did I mention it works just dandy with mego figures?

And just to prove how cool a toy this is, my daughter has asked to play with it twice this week. I'm not made of stone.

There are more in this series, one even features a wood panelled office, hopefully i can find them.

I WANT THIS! Congrats on this score, Brian. It's so cool! And yes, I'd love it for my Bionic Woman doll. And I do have the Sears Space Command Center, so this would be a great companion piece. Where did you find it?

Congrats on winning it, Brian! Looked like you got a good deal. And, most importantly, it is really neat!

I think that it would be great in the GI Joe Adventure Team headquarters, as well!

Thanks, I actually won the first one, I posted the surprising second one the seller had.

Sorry that seems to have gotten zapped through RSS, here it is. I want to do more video blogging in the future, it's a fascination.

I never knew this existed, but now I have to have one. This is unbelievably cool. A rare time when a "generic" toy was way cooler than most of the licensed ones. It would be perfect for Wonder Woman as it totally has an "IRAC" feel to it. The blue color would also coordinate well with the Six Million Dollar Man Command Console.

Adding this to my regular eBay searches. I love this blog!!

That is great! Something for Maskatron's Secret Lair playset. The only things missing are Dr. Dolenz and a KILL button.

Simple mechanical action, yet so effective. Many toy companies would be better served by not overthinking their playsets and accessories. Kind of wish there was a doll like the one on the cover.

I kind of figured it worked that way, and I'm not a bit disappointed by that! I would have loved to have had that in my Mego Batcave! Thanks for sharing!

Wow!! That is a cool find! What's really mind boggling is when you consider that what took a computer almost the size of a room to do back in the Seventies most people can do with their smart phone or tablet today!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I gotcha. Either way, you got a great piece, as you know.

Love the video you made of it!
