found yet another awesome vintage toy shop today.. five stops past Nakano. It's called Toy Cats Showcase and Microman/Henshin fans would dig it. The owner there told me about a vintage toy shop down the street from Nakano. Dare I visit there a FOURTH time?

An Art Gallery not too far away was having an exhibit on Godzilla and Seven Samurai. It was amazing.

I'm staying two extra days in Tokyo, but I'll post photos here shorty when I return. If we're friends on Facebook, there are quite literally thousands of photos already posted of our Tokyo Toy hunting adventures.

Daoromon Happy Meal toys were the coolest thing about McD's.

they have regular Big Macs as well. that burger you saw had an egg in it and some kind of miso/bbq sauce.

my favourite is the deep fried breaded shrimp burgers. Had one at McDonalds, but also had one at Mos Burger yesterday.

I laughed so hard when I saw the burger with the egg on it. My wife loves it. I was so happy they still had the fries shaker bags when I was there some years ago. My wife mentioned there was a potato shortage a few months ago and you were rationed fries (that might put me over the edge). Is that still going on?
I like Mos Burger as they have melon Fanta which is my favorite drink when I am there, but it baffled me that I had to ask for ketchup!
My sister-in-law was so excited to take me to Mister Donut! It is no Tim Hortons! The icing tastes like the stuff Pockys are dipped in. She waiting until my wife went to the washroom and then rattled off a bunch of questions at me which I didnt understand as I speak no Japanese. I just nodded my head. Amazed I didnt end up in a puffy shirt!
It is great to see the pictures and that you guys had a fantastic time there. Happy to hear that Cjefferys' little girl is feeling better. Sucks to be sick on holiday. That is a real bummer. I hope she is much better.

Thanks man, my daughter is much better. It was quite an experience seeing a Japanese hospital and how their medical system works. Better than what I'm used to in Canada!

Thankfully the potato shortage is over, so I was able to enjoy french fries in Japan. You always have to ask for ketchup in Japan, it's not commonly used for fries over there. I'm with Ed, the fried shrimp burgers are awesome, I prefer the McDonalds ones to the Mos Burger ones. My favourite thing about McDonalds in Japan is that they still have fried apple pies, as opposed to the baked ones we have here. I had about a half dozen of them while I was there.
