Brian (Palitoy) is the man to talk to. Coloring Book (or Colouring Book) Theatre is all him, and he can tell you how he'd like the files.

That being said, I need to scan some of these things for the PS feature too!

That was a great podcast guys! Brian always does a great job of applying a balanced perspective on this hobby that sometimes makes me feel foolish to ever complain about anything (because he's right).
Interesting story on Bernie Wrightson. He use to be a regular at Wonderfest and the first year he came out, I had my softcover edition of Frankenstein ready to sign. Bernie is a fascinating person and a unbelievable talent. But his story about the Frankenstein project was a tough listen.

This was something Bernie had started on his own. It wasn't until he was mostly done, that he was commissioned to finish the job with some additional scenes. Being an artist that had used cross hatching in some of my pen and ink work, I was floored to hear this incredible talent was doing this INSANELY detailed work initially for nothing. The rest of that show and others he attended included stories to friends and staff of how he could barely keep his electric bill paid. It was a tough pill to swallow seeing how great an artist he is. He really does count on the support of his fans. I haven't seen him in a while but hopefully he's doing better. But it reminded me that just because your popular or famous in a particular field, it doesn't necessarily translate to a prosperous financial life. It's definitely a labor of love for artists. I have the utmost respect for the craft.

Coloring books have always been an interesting fetish for me. Surprisingly the vintage Christmas variety have been the ones I chase after the most. Whitman coloring books are so much fun and have such a rich history in so many licenses. Chris I definitely smiled when you made mention of Whitman Batman coloring books. How true it was that so many of those had the same contents. The covers were always fascinating though. Those covers were (and continue to be) the greatest allure to me. And yep, that kind of generic style does make for a certain charm that connects me quickly with my childhood. We pretty much grew up with people not of our generation making this product for us and I think that's why there were, at times, a disconnect in how our heroes were represented. These days you have generations of fans making all kinds of product linked to their childhood, so there's this reverence given that was absent when we were kids. Great show!!!

Wow! That is CRAZY timing. I put off (re)buying that Super Friends coloring book (that, I too, had as a kid) for years and years. JUST bought it off EBay a couple days ago. Nice choice for examination there!
