The figures of Evel were a disappointment in that they were bendy and invariably the wires snapped in no time flat, but the bikes and cars, oh man HOURS of fun. We used to set up the Scramble Van with its ramp parked at the top of a flight of stairs and try to get whichever bike we were using to clear a whole staircase. These were also great fun outdoors, jumping over whatever we could, puddles, piles of sticks, Tonka Trucks. Just hours and hours of fun. I sorely wish I had picked up the re-releases that were done a few years ago. My brother and I had, Stunt Cycle, Trail Bike, Chopper, Scamble Van, Stunt and Crash Car and Sky Cycle. Wanted the whole line as a kid, but always wished the Evel figures were made like Megos

Evel was a welcome surprise toy I found under the Christmas Tree!!! It seemed like every kid in my neighborhood got one that year and we had a great time. The world stopped on our street when Evel did a jump. That sound the cycle made when revving up was priceless. I guess it was a no brainer Christmas choice for parents that year.
The only bad thing was when the wires would break in Evel's body they would poke me in the finger and make me bleed. After several pokes Evel was thrown across the room never to return again.
I couldn't take it anymore and Evel had to go.
