    Anyone Collect Indiana Jones?

just wondering if anyone on the boards collects indiana jone toys.
i have the disney line produced afew years ago and the new gentle giant indy, and the ljn indy but my fav. is the kenner line.
i have all but marion and the monkeyman. (if anyone has those to trade or sell please contact me!) anyway i was just wondering if anyone shared my love for this line.

I just started getting the Kenner ones. Only have a mint loose complete Indiana Jones. Kind of figured get the main one first The line is awesome! I so can't wait to get more... if only I had more $$$ lol

And I got another Indy hoping to use it as trade bait after the new film comes out, but it ended having touch up paint so not too good.

I can't say I'm a fan of the 3 LJN figures, it's nice that Indy had another chance with a toy line, but that ball was dropped If I ever find a nice mint loose LJN Indy for a good price I'd get him, but he's nothing I'm really looking to get.

I'm still new to the hobby so as I get to the point where I have almost all of the Kenner line, I may change my mind about LJN figures. It would have been awesome if Kenner would have kept up and made them ... could have had a Kenner made Mola Ram ... now that I would so buy

Yeah---GOD forbid they start satisfying every figure collector's want
and need... and then some---as they did with their stellar STAR WARS
figure assortment of characters over the past years

The way I see it---you should love your TARKIN figure and
love your KATANGA figure when he arrives on the scene---
and let HASBRO go about their business making up for lost opportunities
from back in the 80s....all the other fluff-----fuhget about it---
                    TARKIN/KATANGA are worth it!

I have seen a pic of the big Thugee guy from the mine scene fight in a set of them from toy fare.

and personally I have no problem with a Katanga he would be cool but 15 versions of indy not cool IMO and thats where they have gone with star wars and seem to be going with indy

my problem isnt that they have made most of the star wars universe, it is the fact that we have about 20 different han solos from anh. it makes it very hard to try to collect all the line.
i like the star wars line but its just too big.

I've been collecting Indy toys since the Kenner days.

I still remember the frustration of combing through stacks and stacks of Toht and Cairo Swordsman looking for Indy and Marion. Not to mention the all time I spent fruitlessly looking for the Temple of Doom Willie and Short Round figures until to find out many years later they were not made.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

i never saw anything other than toht and sordsman.
i got my 1st indy by accident. i was in my 20's and made a star wars trade and he was in it.

                              Umm...then collect less of it?

Okay, okay...this is getting hammered into the ground--as it came up
on another thread about collecting---but why complain if a line is too big
if you're still getting a choice of every other character in the SW/IJ universe.

                              The answer?

Because such person feels compelled to "collect them all"...even
when they don't want to---that's not a fun hobby---that's an unhealthy
                              obssessive thing going on.

The reason this bothers me is because as far as Hasbro is concerned
all those ANH Han Solo variations are helping to keep the line alive
and desirable to extend and extend---I say they've earned the right to
behave this way---as long as TARKIN---ADMR. OZZEL, ICE CREAM GUY
                              etc. etc. exist.

I say, bring on 40 Han Solo variations if it make's em feel better about their line.
