Nick Fury and his howlin' green plastic army men

This is a neat little Rack Toy oddity I found last month, it's a variant on the Fleetwood SGT Fury armored attack set that was issued in the US. I have no idea who "W" is but I assume this is a foreign release, similar card but different toys, that is the joy of the Rack Toy.

Rack Toys: Cheap, Crazed Playthings is a limited edition 144 page book from the creator of Plaid Stallions. Order from us and get three free promotional post cards.

Looks more like the Cap:First Avenger Howlers:

Lord Falsworth and His Highly Enthusiastic Men of Action.

Marvel should do a Sgt Fury tv show. I always liked the comic series, they had such a good time playing army men. Kinda like Hogan's Heroes mashed up with Combat.

Like the fact it's suppose to be a WW II set yet they threw in a modern version of the German flag.

were these actually small sculpted versions of the Howling commandos (like Dum Dum etc) or just plain generic army men?

my 70s Marx set had a modern German flag too. Guess the correct one is frowned upon by toy makers, I know in Europe it can't be used.

Yea, without the nazi flag it's kinda weird.

Makes ALL Germans (past and modern) look like the bad guys

I would have designed a totally new but similar to a nazi flag ...

In the same vein as the Pink Floyd's The Wall Marching Hammers Flag
