    How many sugars Mr Sulu?

From the "I spoke to soon" department. No sooner did I mention no evidence of Star Trek tea sets in the Worcester catalog last Friday when I quickly corrected. Thanks to my pal Corey, it appears that Worcester did indeed pitch a 23rd century tea set. I can't imagine what they thought to accomplish here but honestly I would have to own one now just to prove the oddest piece of Star Trek merchandise existed (which would likely remove the title from this)

I'm sure Mr.Spock would have thought of the idea of tea time as illogical.

That is just all kinds of awesome.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

If it had been ST:TNG, with Captain Picard sipping Earl Grey, I'd get it...

Kirk developed an affinity for tea time while dating Edith Keeler.

This goes way, way, way beyond the weirdness of the Love Boat barber set.

I can't envision one justification for a young boy or parent of the 70's to walk out of a toy store with this under their arm when the Marlboro man was still seen as the ideal male role model. Wow...

Hey, in ST VI, we see Sulu sipping tea from an old-style tea cup, when sitting in the command chair.

                  Highly illogical...
