The Adventure People Sky Surfer w/ stuntman

This, of course, is the from the Fisher-Price The Adventure People line. I don't know what number it is, but it's called the Sky Surfer (glider/kite that really flies) and it comes with the stuntman/stuntboy who wears the orange helmet, blue sweat shirt, navy pants and tan boots.

I started this thread because I've looked for more info on it and for it being auctioned off on ebay, over that last month or so, with no luck.

Does anyone have more info and/or pictures of it (memories even)? Is it seen very often on ebay? Another thing that got be excited about it, recently, was a picture that Brian (Palitoy) posted of a bin of Sky Surfers.

Yep, Baron, he's the guy from the set!

After I posted this thread, I did find something about the Sky Surfer set. It turns out that it is rare. The reason seems to be that it was recalled because the figure was falling off (I don't know how often) and hitting kids on the head. (It probably only hit one kid on the head and his dad was a lawyer...lol). This recall took place after only a few thousand were shipped.

Apparently, it does show up on ebay, once in a blue moon, and goes for a high amount.

So I have a rare figure ... Yeepee
I've lucky to buy these one in a lot 3 years ago from a guy in Belgium. When you search for FP AP on ebay be sure to select the "worlwide" location, the Belgian are nice people and have lot of stuff.

I kind of wondered why I've never seen it before.

Boy, that thing looks like a heck of a lot of fun! I bet it's so well made that it would still hold up very well today. I'll have to keep an eye open for one of these, for sure.

                Thanks for your help, guys!
