    The Looooooooove Boat Plaaaaaayset

As much as I do not regret one minute of those Saturday night "Love Boat/Fantasy Island" fests I had as a kid (especially when they CROSSED OVER, which was like Batman joining the Avengers) I just never really got the need for stuff like the Mego action figures or this little set from Multiple.

Although, I think it would be cool in addition to the crew if you got figurines of regular guest stars like Charo, Gordon Jump, Donna Pescow and Don Adams? My God, what monster would deny the world a Vic Tayback figurine?

Oh yeah, although I spent many a Saturday night watching the Love Boat/Fantasy Island double feature, enjoying it with a big bag of chips, I never felt the need for any toys from the shows. Yet I am oddly comforted seeing that items like this were released.

That's actually pretty neat. Watched the show every week, but I'm not sure I'd want this as a kid. I did have a Love Boat beach ball for some reason...

Yeah...after CHiPs, we always turned to ABC to watch The Love Boat and Fantasy Island.

I seem to recall a Saturday night schedule where Global played BJ and the Bear, Love Boat and Fantasy Island in a row.

It includes the actual Love Boat crew, all hand painted... one color. LOL!

^They are in color, if you stare closely. The tiny pic of the outside of the ship has Issac, for instance.

"The ultimate play set for little girls?"

Well then! This little boy is offended! I'd have loved it!

You know, it's odd, but I watched the show too. You wouldn't think an 8 or 9 year old boy would fit the target demographic, but there it is.

Good eye Chris. I see them now. They kind of blend in with the background.

So, the crew are painted. It's just the passengers that aren't. That makes even less sense! LOL!!

It's actually pretty cool design-wise though. I think I would have made the two rooms on the top a dining room/ballroom and the bridge. And I can't see the very top, but I would hope it has a "pool" decal on the deck since that was one of the main places they hung out on the show.

It would be neat to see a similar design in a spaceship toy with the multiple rooms and floors. I'd have loved something like that as a kid.
