    Chez Frankenstein

Aw yeah more 70s Frankenstein submissions! This one is from Seth who met the monster outside the House of Frankenstein wax museum in Lake George, NY the summer of 1977. I've always wanted to visit the House of Frankenstein, which is still in operation and opens next week.

Thanks to Seth for the awesome photo.

This one really hits close to home with me. We used to vacation there at Lake George, around the time this photo was taken. Heck, my 5 year old self is probably just out of camera range, peeing in my pants out of fear. Thanks for sharing this awesome photo!

BTW, the Lake George House of Frankenstein IS still in operation, and is still in pretty good shape, with a lot of vintage displays still working. Lake George also has Sir Gooney's Mini Golf, which I highly recommend.

The Niagara Falls House of Frankenstein, on the other hand, has been pretty much ruined with bad "updates". Don't waste your time.

Really? That sucks to hear. I haven't been there since I was a kid, but I was planning to take my kids there when they were a bit older.

Last time i was in there I scared the crap out of a family. Guy comes running out saying to my wife "He's the scariest thing in there!" Did my ego wonders....

Yes, that is the best part about it. Actually, the whole street is still great with the big Castle Dracula signage too. They just let the interior go to pot.
