Wonderful stories and memories. Collecting silly playthings has so much more meaning when associated with people who've loved you.

Your Grandma sounds like a great lady. I'm glad you were lucky to have her in your life.

The love of your grandma reinforces that old Beatle verse - "The love you take equals the love you make." She made allot.

Very touching tribute, Brian, I can see why she was so important to you. It's really hard when things like this have to happen, I miss my grandma too. My condolences again and thanks for sharing.

That was wonderful, Brian. You are blessed to have had such a good relationship w/ your Grandmother. I wish I had great memories like that of mine. She must have been one special lady.

Thanks for sharing your memories. Brick Mantooth was a bad investment? I had assumed he was selling well and had hopes you'd move onto round two with another figure.

My sympathies go out to you and your family. It seems like grandmothers help keep our childhoods and memories alive more than other people. My grandmother outlived my parents and her husband. We were close, so I understand how you feel. Stay strong and revel in your memories together.

Great tribute, I really enjoyed reading your memories and can really relate. One of my most treasured possessions is an audio recording I made when my grandparents visited for a week in the early 80's.

Very nice tribute. And I gotta say I'm jealous of folks with grandparents like this. I can't remember getting anything good from any of mine (and I had three sets!!) for Christmas OR birthdays.

Nice Brian. It seems there's a lot of grandma in you and Dean.

Very cool Brian. You've been blessed to have her in your life. Both my grandma's passed before I was born. She sounded like a wonderful lady.

Let's not forget her biggest contribution... if not for her, you would likely still be trapped in the mall drug store you accidentally got locked into at closing time when you were a kid.

I know this has been a long, hard road for you buddy. I'm glad that you got to say your goodbye's and that she's in a better place now. Even though I got to wander around her awesome wood panel basement (complete with that Marilyn Chambers box of Ivory Snow!), I'm really sorry I did not have the pleasure of meeting her. She sounds absolutely wonderful.

My best to you and your family during this difficult time.

from purely pragmatic grandmotherly POV, it is when compared to investing in the Canadian Oil Sands or Apple stock. No one is making ReMegos to get rich. It's a labour of love that you engage in for as long as you make enough to justify production costs and don't lose money.

not really the thread to be having this conversation, so I'm going to quietly direct you here:

My condolences as well, Brian. Thanks for sharing this, and thanks to your incredible grandmother for nurturing all of this in you, as you've gone on to share that love with all of us. There's no better legacy someone can leave than that kind of inspiration. Best, Shannon

You were incredibly fortunate Brian to have forged such a strong and loving relationship with you Grandma.

Three of my grandparents lived across the Atlantic and I only saw them a handful of times. My grandfather that was here in Canada was a bit cold and distant when I was growing up and lived a few hours away.

I am more than a little jealous ... especially after reading your wonderful post and reading how important she was in your life.

Sorry for your loss. My Nana was also a big supporter of my interests and I miss her dearly. Very nice tribute you've written.
