FRANKENSTEIN knock off pop-up Toy BOXED

    Another classic toy......

    Pop up frankenstein

Toy was issued in mid to late seventies in uk , made in Hong Kong by WILKIN (there logo is a little boat)

Good head sculpture on Frankie - he's the best part of the toy , BTW two versions of Frankie exist -1) where the two halfs of Frankie were glued together and 2) where Frankie was joined by 2 screws - earlier production run.

Anyway here are the pics .......

He's a cute little Frankiestein. I wonder if the name is deliberately misspelled, or if it another example of lovable knockoff craftsmanship.

THAT is a very cool knock off. Love the whole concept and design. And I agree. I'm sure the misspell is a calculated legal move. Can you blame them? They were probably lucky to make their investment back, let alone try and do so while paying an estate fee.
