Captain Action Book by Michael Eury - Out of Print

I just got the book Captain Action - The Original SuperHero Action Figure, by Michael Eury, published by Tomorrows Publishing. I can't recommend this enough.

I put off buying it, and saw on Amazon that it was going out of print, so I got it straight from the publisher, with a small discount.

If you have a passing interest, run, don't walk, and order this! It's a beautiful book, very much in the vein of World's Greatest Toys, but for CA.

    Highly recommended.

Yes, that is an EXCELLENT book, and tells you everything you ever wanted to know about CA. I actually have both editions, it's that damn good. Not just saying that because I've sold several Back Issue articles to Michael Eury, either. I wish he'd write more collector books, he does such a fine job with this one.

I have the first edition softback version. I loved his story as a kid of getting this figure for Christmas and discovering it had two left hands. A great story and a very thorough book on the history of the character. I agree, it is the content equivalent of our beloved Mego book. If you love Captain Action, this book is for you.

I was born in 72, so CA was before my time, but oh, how I lust after these toys. I look at the pages of this book, and some of the images make me want to weep, especially the Sears catalog images.
