Not sure, had it since I was a kid. the pieces were always in a Crown Royal bag, so I never saw the box.

That's fun! I kept a ton of my toys in those bags when I was a kid. My grandfather owned a restaurant and got a bunch of them. Funny enough, it was a decade or more later that I found out they were bags for liquor bottles.

I don't have a photo of the box the checkers set came in, but it's not very memorable. You're the only person I've ever heard from that owned the set as a kid. If and when you dig 'em out, I'd love to see pics. Thanks.
