Video of Megos and SW being destroyed on Christmas morning

I'm sure this has been posted before, perhaps by me, but Christmas is a good day to drag it out again!

From a documentary I made in 1995:

You will see 12" SW Han, Vader, R2, Mego boxed Iron Man and Tarzan, probably others I've forgotten.

And then there is this final scene from the documentary, titled In Love With Toys, which depicts a fantasy trip back in time to a 1970s dime store.

You will see carded AHI, Lincoln and Tomland monsters, boxed Megos, $6M Man, GI Joe, Shoguns, all kinds of cool stuff on the store shelves.

The video and audio quality of these clips is terrible, but they were taken from a very used VHS copy of the film. I would love to remaster it from the original elements and put it on YouTube, but that would cost money.

I've had the video for years, and still watch it from time to time. Great job, and I still get a kick out of those guys thinking their 90s X-Men figures were going to make them rich. Many of us thought that, at least partially...

Everything in the dime store is original and real. The Christmas scene...eh...well...

Instead of "repro," I would call it a "prop." I don't remember there being repro toy packages back then. I'm sure they were around, but it wasn't anything like it is today.

My stomach sank when I saw all of those boxes being ripped apart. Even as a kid I considered the packaging to be part of the toy. I loved all the artwork and wanted to have something to keep it looking new. That was fun though. Plenty of kids likely did it just like that. Recreating that Mego shelf moment was VERY COOL. Nice work!!!
