The roll up skin on Steve's arms and legs dry rot very easy. I passed on some nude Steves before because the skin was dry rotted.sigpicComment

I am also interested in replacing my SMDM toys (especially steve & maskatron) but I refuse to pay highway-robbery ebay prices. I also have noticed a lot of inferior pieces, incomplete ones (most common) and just plain know-nothing sellers who can't even take good pics (or refuse to take detailed pics when requested) or answer simple questions. I also can relate to the earlier post about once I find something on ebay everybody in the world seems to want it too. Could be absolutely no bids, no views and then all of a sudden 13 bids. Very aggravating. I too, have been utilizing the marketplace and although you don't always get a rock-bottom price, you don't have to go through ebay frustration.

okay im going to throw my thoughts on SMDM pricing everyone has forgot to mention that theirs 3 version of the doll the first one released 1975-1976 with the engine block goes for about 200 boxed the second version witht he steel beam released in 1977 about 250 to 275 and third version which the most rare released in 1978 with the biosonic arm and smashing blocks goes up to 500.00 which I believe is much more rarer then the boxed bigfoot which goes for about 375 to 400 boxed .I do agree the oscar goldman is the easiest one to find about 100 to 150 boxed why toy fares are charging so much is beyond me just wise guys I guess.!!!oh the boxed Venus Space Probe which was the last piece released in 1978 is the holy grail mint in box about 1,000 minimum .thse are mint in box items the loose versions I am not an expert on but I would believe alot cheaperComment
